OUR

SERVICES

PRACTICAL.

SUSTAINABLE.

CULTURALLY SENSITIVE.

MEDICAL EDUCATION

We focus on teaching. We create simple medical education and training protocols developed for community health providers who may have little to no formal training. Working side-by-side with local medical staff, in both clinical settings and interactive lecture sessions, we build on the providers' skillsets, utilizing the medications and diagnostic tools that are available in these resource-poor settings. While caring for patients in teamwork with local providers, we model physical exam skills, diagnostic reasoning, and rational approaches to treatment.

HEALTH CARE

The most damaging medical issues in underserved communities often have simple solutions. Gone untreated, these illnesses can have devastating effects. We use globally recognized protocols developed by the World Health Organization, UNICEF, and the CDC. We treat, and teach how to care for, the simple medical conditions that are so prevalent in every developing community: arthritis, asthma, burns, chest pain, dehydration, diabetes, fever, gastritis, hypertension, malaria, malnutrition, mother and baby care, neglected tropical diseases, parasites, pneumonia, skin conditions, STDs, upper respiratory illness, and many more.

PARTNERSHIP

In every community, we partner with established organizations in order to add impact to local development. Our dedicated partners do the hard work to provide clean water, children's homes, school programs, job training, and more. Through partnership, we can forge stronger connections with each community, building on our partner organization's existing relationship.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

We use ongoing project management systems to build sustainable educational bridges. Instead of one-time clinics, we partner with communities for the long term. Following each project, we establish an open channel of communication that allows us to serve as an educational and informational resource for community health workers who otherwise would not have access to up-to-date medical information. Our regional Project Managers organize translation efforts to ensure seamless communication, consult on diagnostic and treatment recommendations, coordinate outcomes studies, and provide ongoing education. Through this model, we work with each community to improve local health care delivery, thus accelerating our global neighbors' journey toward self-reliance and thriving development.
